Event information

Registrations for this event are closed.

Re COVID... With the recent travel & border restrictions imposed by the Qld Govt on Metro Victorians travelling to Queensland it is expected most of the 23 Metro Victorians who had registered, will not be able to attend the carnival UNLESS the Qld Govt changes the status of the declared hot spots (which would allow travel without isolation or quarantine requirements).

See the Qld Govt covid web page HERE.

All registrants (on Wed 17th Feb) were emailed a survey/questionnaire seeking their confirmation or withdrawal of their attendance.

The carninval will proceed, but with 9 or 10 teams (instead of 12). This will mean some adjustments to team lists (which had already been emailed to players).

Registrations are still OPEN. Register here to attend the Social Carnival at the Gold Coast on the last weekend of February, 2021.

As at Thursday 18th Feb, 2021, 19 players had withdrawn. Plus, there are at least 4 other players who have indicated they will wait a few days to see if Qld Govt border restrictions are changed.

Originally the target (which had been reached prior to the Covid border restrictions by Qld Govt on 13th Feb) was 168 players (12 teams x 14 players). As those from Melbourne cannot enter Qld without a 14-day exemption, the number of teams will reduce by two (unless there is an influx of players from non-covid affected locations).

Players who are a “year or three” under 60 years of age (as at 31/12/2021) and have already registered will be included in the first "168 playing group".

Payment is required to secure your spot in the Carnival.

IMPORTANT: If your name doesn't appear on the WHO'S GOING list, it means your registration has not been received. Contact Garry if you think there's an error.

When you register, you are required to pay your entry fee by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) aka Direct Deposit. This will be to a personal bank account as the event is not a Queensland Masters hosted event. Preference will be given to players who register AND pay the entry fee, on a “first in” basis.

The entry fee is $55.00.  Bank details are BSB: 182182 Acct: 001817014 Name: Garry Royle  Bank is Macquarie Bank

Use your Surname and DOB (xx/xx/xxxx) in the Reference field.
